The directive was adopted on 22 March 2021 as a further step in cooperation between EU states on tax information.
Its purpose is to make transactions carried out through digital platforms more transparent.
That is when the act implementing the directive into Polish law came into force.
That category can also include services carried out by beauty salons, hairdressers and wellness specialists.
They may include identifying sellers, verifying data and passing certain information to the tax administration.
What counts is how the platform actually works and what role it plays between the provider and the client.
It matters, because not every system works the same way.
And it is the platform's model that can count when DAC7 is assessed.
The client books a time, but pays for the service directly to you.
A discount, an extra service or a change to the treatment can change the final amount.
It does not have to stand between you and your client in the settlement.
The client books an appointment in Terminka, you carry out the service, and the settlement happens directly between the client and your salon.
They choose the salon, the service, the specialist and an available time.
The service is provided by your salon. Terminka gives you the tool for organising bookings and the calendar.
Terminka neither accepts nor passes on payment for the service and charges no commission on the value of an appointment.

DAC7 introduces no new tax and changes no rules of taxation. What it does introduce are information and reporting obligations for certain operators of digital platforms.
In its current model Terminka does not report data about Partners' appointments to tax authorities under the DAC7 rules.
Terminka holds no reliable information about the amount actually paid. The price shown in the system comes from the salon and may differ from the final settlement with the client.
The client settles directly with the salon. Terminka neither accepts nor passes on payment for Partners' services and charges no commission on the value of an appointment.
What counts in a DAC7 assessment is the platform's real role — among other things its part in the booking, the payment and the settlement, and what it knows about the service performed and the Partner's remuneration.
